Scotty Aquilino, a former New Yorker and media specialist at J. Walter Thompson Advertising, she and her husband discovered Southern Vermont as skiers. It wasn’t long before they moved to the Winhall area where they owned and operated a very successful restaurant, The River Café, for over 20 years. Because of her warmth and personality, it soon became the in place for skiers, golfers, tennis players, families and visitors to the area. They received high recommendations from the Mobil travel guide. Since selling the restaurant, Scotty focused full time on real estate, where she is one of Southern Vermont’s top real estate producers. Currently on the board of the Northshire Performing Arts Center, she is also a member of the Stratton Country Club and is active in its social activities. She is a member of the South Central Vermont Board of Realtors, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of Intervale Homes and was it’s former President. Scotty continues to get requests to cater a dinner or bake a special cake from those who know her from the River Café. Her love of cooking and baking shows in all she creates as you will see at the Winhall Market.
